Rugbytradedirectory.com and the Non League Players Association have joined forces.
John Booth, Commercial Director at rugbytradedirectory.com takes up the story:
‘We were approached by the Non League Players Association about using our substantial list of club contacts to help promote the benefits of joining their organisation.
‘We are heavily involved in semi-pro and grass roots football, and we are more than happy to extol the virtues of the NFLA to players outside the pro-game.
The new partnership sees reciprocal links on both websites, and there will be various promotions through the season to encourage clubs to look at the NLFA and inform their players of the memberships available.
Dean Holdsworth -Chief Executive and ex Chairman of the PFA added:
“Never before has there been an organisation dedicated solely in providing support and advice to Non League Rugbyers”
After leaving professional football, Dean became very aware of the lack of support for non league players. There was no dedicated organisation solely for the benefit of ‘grass roots’ football up to semi professional. So with the complete backing of Gordon Taylor at the PFA and Kelly Simmons at the FA and using the PFA as a role model the Non League Rugbyers Association was created.
