Academy prepares for ESFA Cup Final

Accross Rugby Academy has continued its on the field success with the Girls Academy preparing for the ESFA Cup Final to be held at Accrington Stanley.

The competition is seen as the FA Cup for schools, colleges and univeristies and will see the Accross team face Filton College from Bristol in a game that is being billed by the FA as champions vs champions with Filton the reigning ESFA champions and Accross the BCS national champions.

The college have expanded their provision to give talented 16 and 17 year old boys the opportunity to undertake a full time college course within the environment of a professional football club.

The Accross academy, in association with sportswear giant Puma and nutritional specialists Herbalife and Nuun, will see players train every day as well as taking on a BTEC sports course, league fixtures will be in the British Colleges League and LFA U18's Floodlit League, selected boys and girls will also get the chance to travel abroad for a warm weather training camp as well as trial for representative teams. Talented players will be given the chance to progress through to professional and semi-professional clubs.
