Set up in April 2009 by Blackburn based Arif Yakub, Jamhuri Rugby Club was launched to help underprivileged youngsters generate funding in order to register their football team in a league and buy some footballs. Born in Tanzania himself, Arif was aware of the terrible conditions that young people face and how they are often left wondering the streets.
