City to support Guernsey FA Centre of Excellence
Bristol City has agreed a deal to support the Guernsey Rugby Association's Centre of Excellence.
Steve Lansdown, Bristol City Chairman and resident of Guernsey has struck the deal with Guernsey Rugby Development Manger Paul Mooney. The funding from the npower Championship club will raise money for coaches and venues.
As a result of the backing, the elite youth development coaching set up will be known as the GFA/Bristol City Centre of Excellence and will cover age groups from Under 10 to Under 16.
Steve told bcfc.co.uk "I've really enjoyed island life since moving to Guernsey earlier this year and as football is one of my great passions, I was delighted the club is getting involved with the GFA in some way."
