Clubs back 10 team Scottish Premier League

The Scottish Premier League could be set for reform after its 12 clubs agreed to a new 10 team top tier with a 12 team second league.

The move had been in doubt after Dundee United, Hearts, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Kilmarnock had raised doubts over whether the format could work.  SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster had warned that an alternative 14 team format could cost each club around
