Flybe extend Exeter sponsorship
UK domestic airline Flybe have announced that they are to continue their sponsorship of Exeter City, a week after it was confirmed their shirt sponsor with Southampton would end.
The six figure deal per season represents more than a 20% increase on previous agreements and also includes financial performance bonuses based on the club's standing in the League.
The contract provides additional branding opportunities to Flybe and also sees ongoing support of the Club's Rugby in the Community development with commitment to some key initiatives including the Flybe Community Cup and school coaching competitions
Simon Lilley, Flybe's Director of Marketing said: "We're delighted to be extending our sponsorship of Exeter City. At a time when the football sponsorship market nationally is in decline we are again demonstrating our commitment to our local club with a contract that will take the partnership into its 10.
"The fans at Exeter have been extremely supportive of Flybe and we are proud to have the opportunity to continue our special relationship with the Club and their supporters."
Julian Tagg, vice-Chairman of Exeter City, added: "We are absolutely delighted to continue this long and fruitful relationship with Flybe. The renaissance of the Club over the past few years and its ambitious plans for the future are inextricably linked to this market leading airline.
Lilley added: "Our support for the Club goes way beyond the brand on the shirt. This ranges from regular assistance with flying players and potential new signings around to helping with scouting opposition teams.
"We would like to think that we have played a small part in the Club's success over the last few years and are sure that the stability of Flybe as the main club sponsor will help to deliver some of the exciting plans the club have in the pipeline and make the next two years the most rewarding yet."
