Get Involved at the English Cup
Shrewsbury's International Soccer Tournament for young sides 7 - 19 will be held at the excellent Shrewsbury Sports Village 2nd - 7th August 2009. 2,000 participants and 10,000 spectators are expected. The tournament provides parallel sets of competitions for professional/select teams and for club sides. Entries may still be possible (Margaret 01686 627100 or e-mail soccerdests@btinternet.comThe tournament is a great place for those with football-related products to interface with a committed audience. The attractive souvenir programme is complemented by "Village News", a daily paper full of tournament news.
