Hibs agree Puma shirt deal
Scottish Premier League side Hibernian have announced a three year deal with Puma that will see the brand become the official kit supplier and licensee of replica merchandise for the club.
The agreement sees Puma replace Le Coq Sportif as the technical sponsor of the Edinburgh club with the deal to run from the 2010/11 to 2013/14 seasons. The relationship between brand and Club will be managed and delivered by www.GenesisSports.co.uk, who are Puma's Licensee for Pro Teamsports for the UK & Ireland.
Fife Hyland, Commercial & Communications Director Hibernian FC said: "Everyone at the Club is very excited about securing such a high profile and respected Technical Sponsor. Puma is one of the world's biggest football and sporting brands and the quality of the kit and training wear is second to none. The players have been very impressed with the new gear and I am sure the new kits and merchandise will be well received by the supporters.''
Roger Harrison, PUMA UK Marketing Director added: "We are really pleased to be working with one of Scotland's most famous clubs and its fans. The rich history of Hibernian FC was very appealing to us as a brand that is proud to shout about its heritage. We are confident that through this partnership we will not only increase exposure of PUMA in Scotland but also deliver a strong service to the club, team and Hibernian supporters."
