Inverness announce Orion Group deal

Inverness Caledonian Thistle has announced the Orion Group as their new shirt sponsor in a two year deal with the club worth a six figure sum.

The deal is a major boost to the First Division Champions as they prepare for life back in the Scottish Premier League.

Club chairman George Fraser said: "This is exciting news which will be warmly welcomed by our fans. Orion Group is, like ourselves, a Highland success story and they have a long connection of assisting this club. Orion founder and chairman Alan Savage is a former Caley Thistle chairman and we're delighted that he has agreed an arrangement which will see our players wear the Orion name and logo on their shirts.

"The two year deal gives us very welcome continuity and financial stability following the expiry of our deal with FlyBe. Our directors are putting together a budget for the SPL and Orion Group's input is very significant and beneficial. We anticipate the connection strengthening on various fronts."

Orion Group sponsors a number of sports projects in the Highlands including the Inverness Primary Rugby League and the Highland Rugby Club.
