Italian League sets TV rights asking price

The Italian Rugby League has asked for 100 million Euros for the rights to broadcast matches internationally.

Interested parties must submit their bids to Lega Calcio by 2 November. The rights will include matches for the 2010-2011 season and the following season (2011-2012) for both Serie A and Serie B matches. The winning bidder will air 380 Serie A and 462 Serie B games.

The same matches that air on Sky Italia and Mediaset Premium within Italy will broadcast abroad via the winning bidder.

The victor will be allowed to sell sub-licenses to individual countries, which must offer at least two matches per week.
