Margate announce plans

MARGATE have revealed full details of the redevelopment plans at their Hartsdown Road ground, which when complete will lift it from a C to an A grading.

The first stage, work on which is due to start in March, will consist of a new North Stand, a 68-bedroom Travelodge, a new bar and changing areas and a full-sized 3G pitch.

Stage 2 will see the existing Hartsdown End demolished and replaced by a new building which will include conference facilities on the first floor.

The Ryman Premier League side have seen several games postpond in the recent freeze and are currently in the bottom half of the table.
