Motherwell sign up

MOTHERWELL have secured a new kit deal with Canterbury of New Zealand for the next four years.

The deal will see the company provide the Lanarkshire club with first-team kit and training apparel from the start of the 2009-10 season.

The new kit has yet to be revealed but manager Mark McGhee is confident the design will be a hit with supporters.

He said: "I am delighted that the club has managed to secure such a well known, respected worldwide brand to manufacture and produce our kits for next season.

"I have been given details of some of the technical elements to the garments that we will be provided with and anything that manages to get a few more percent out of the players on a matchday is a very welcome addition.

"I have seen the designs for the new kits and they look fantastic - I am sure the Motherwell support will be delighted when they are revealed."

Canterbury are already the kit partner of the Scotland national rugby team, as well as Portsmouth, Deportivo La Coruna, Lille and AZ Alkmaar.
