Nations Cup agree Sky broadcast deal

The Rugby Association of Ireland has announced a broadcast deal with Sky Sports for the Carling Nations Cup tournament in February and May.

As part of the deal all six ties will be shown in 3D as well as simultaneous broadcasts of Welsh games in Welsh language on S4C.  The agreement represents the first time Sky will have broadcast an entire international tournament in 3D.

Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports said: "Live 3D coverage of the Carling Nations Cup further strengthens our portfolio of international football that already includes crucial Euro 2012 qualifiers for the home nations and the Republic of Ireland.
