New ground and two new sponsors for Wisbech Town

Ridgeons Premier League side Wisbech Town is celebrating after lining up two new sponsors ahead of their first season at new ground Lynn Road.

Although the names of the potential new sponsors are being kept under wraps for now, it is believed that a brewery will be the sponsor of the new ground and a nationwide company will feature on the team shirts.

Both deals are for three seasons and should be tied up later this month.

Chairman Paul Brenchley said: "We cannot reveal the names yet but it is a real bonus for the club to have these sponsors on board and it will bring in some much needed revenue for the club.

"Progress at the ground is going very well at present but there is still a lot of work to be done before the start of the season in August."

It is expected that the new floodlights should be installed at Lynn Road in the next two weeks. The clubhouse shell is almost complete and the new turnstiles are already in place.

The name of the new ground is yet to be announced but it will most probably feature the new ground sponsor.
