Featherstone Rovers chase half back Ryan Brierley

Featherstone Rovers are on the hunt for Toronto Wolfpack's Ryan Brierley.

Rovers aim to sign the half-back in their push to gain promotion during the 2019 campaign.

Featherstone have signed two leeds players Jack Ormondroyd and Josh Walters on long term contracts. Both players were apart of Sunday's win against Batley Bulldogs.

A deal for Brierley has yet to be agreed but Rovers are hoping to have him to present to fans at the LD Nutrition Stadium.

The Wolfpacks are open to letting fringe players leave, the club agreed the loan transfer of Olsi Krasnigi to Championship side Bradford Bulls on a short term deal.

Brierley has also garnered the attention of a second tier club also.

He was influential in the promotion wining campaign of then champions Leigh several years ago, and played a major role in Toronto's early years under former Centurions head Paul Rowley.

Wolfpack have had some top arrivals in the off-season Joe Mellor being one of those players brought in by new coach Brian McDermott. Brierley first team opportunities will be limited with Toronto's new additions.

This has prompted Featherstone, who are looking to add Brierley to the team.
