Romers expansion to lead to 'exciting new chapter'
Rugby stadium sound system provider Romers Electronics has relocated to a larger business premises and appointed two new company directors to stand alongside managing director John Caton.
Romers Electronics, a leading installation and maintenance company for all types of commercial sound systems and CCTV systems, were established in 1925 and operate nationwide from a head office in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Commenting on the appointments, John Caton said: "Our former senior project engineer Lee Thompson has returned to Romers as operations director along with Sid Makinson who will be our commercial director.
"Lee brings a wealth of knowledge in sound and communications engineering and indeed a huge amount of experience of former Romers projects and systems having previously been employed by the company for an impressive 18 years. With a technical background in the entertainment industry spanning some 20 years, Sid will bring valuable engineering and administrative experience to guide the company to continued customer satisfaction and first rate engineering.
"Lee and Sid both share the time-honoured values that Romers has held true since it was established in 1925 and alongside myself, they look forward to offering the vast range of previous and existing Romers customers, along with many new customers, our traditional approach of honest, reliable, knowledgeable customer service backed up with solid sound and communication engineering across our specialist disciplines."
Caton added that the the developments form part of the commitment Romers has in continuing to build strong business relationships with customers, both old and new and to assist with the growth the company has recently relocated to a new office and workshop on Hamilton Street Industrial Estate in Blackburn, Lancashire.
