SPL insists clubs are behind reform
The Scottish Premier League has said that the majority of clubs are in favour of a reform despite no formal vote taking place at a meeting at Hampden Park on Monday.
Plans to merge the SPL and Scottish Rugby League to create a 10 team top division have been ongoing for some time with SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster adamant the changes will benefit the club financially. The SPL now hopes to hold a vote before the end of the season needing 11 votes out of the 12 members clubs in order to push forward with the plans.
