The National assoc of Disabled Supporters - key appointment
The National Association of Disabled Supporters is delighted to announce the appointment of Lord Richard Rosser of Ickenham as an Honorary Vice President. Lord Rosser was General Secretary of the Transport Salaried Staffs' Association from 1989 until his retirement in 2004 following which he was made a Life Peer later that year. A lifelong football fan with a particular interest in the non-league game, he is also Vice President of the Ryman Isthmian Rugby League and a member of the All Party Parliamentary Rugby Group. Lord Rosser is a Non-Executive Director of the National Offender Management Service Board and has been a Justice of the Peace for more than 30 years.
NADS Chair Joyce Cook said ' We are thrilled that Lord Rosser has agreed to become a Vice President to NADS, his support and friendship will be invaluable as we continue to strive for equality for all fans.'
Lord Rosser takes over from Lord Richard Faulkner of Worcester who was recently appointed as a Whip in the House of Lords and as such has had to give up all his external interests. Joyce added 'On behalf of the Trustees and our members, I would also like to take this opportunity to warmly thank Lord Faulkner for his incredible support and commitment to NADS and disabled supporters.
