UniBond and Sheffield FC continue support for Boots scheme
For the current season the UniBond League in conjunction with Sheffield FC will be supporting the Boots for Africa campaign. Backed by League Sponsors Henkel under their UniBond banner they will provide cash incentives to clubs who donate most boots over the course of the season.
In addition to the cash incentives plans are being made to hold a Boots for Africa Day at each UniBond League ground which will have special prizes and events with an African theme. The UniBond League website and Press Release will publicise these events once dates are known.
Anyone wishing to donate a pair of boots should ensure they are clean and tied together and size of boots written on a label. Then simply take your boots to your nearest UniBond club and via Boots for Africa will ship them off to the children of Africa.
Sheffield FC have created a distribution network throughout Africa. Through this network it has already arranged to send boots to communities in South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana and Zambia.
Every pair of boots that are donated will be received in Africa by a young person who has never had a pair of football boots.
