TNT Sports acquire women's Premiership rights

TNT Sports has acquired rights to Premiership Women’s Rugby (PWR), England’s rebranded domestic rugby union club competition.

As part of the multi-year agreement, more than 20 matches will be shown live on linear and digital platforms during the upcoming 2023-24 season, starting with Bristol Bears v Sale Sharks on November 18.

TNT Sports, formerly known as BT Sport, will show one match each weekend, as well as both end-of-season semi-finals and the final, which is scheduled for June 22.

The broadcaster’s live linear coverage will be complemented by highlights, match reports and interviews on the TNT Sports App and on Discovery+.

The relaunched PWR will feature nine sides from across England: Bristol Bears, Exeter Chiefs, Gloucester Hartpury, Harlequins, Leicester Tigers, Loughborough Lightning, Sale Sharks, Saracens and Trailfinders Women. Worcester Warriors had been due to compete but was forced to withdraw last month.
