Venues for 2027 World Cup Matches Confirmed
England and Wales are set to renew their rivalry at the 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup, with a potential pool-deciding clash scheduled for 16 October in Sydney.
England will begin their Pool F campaign against Tonga in Brisbane on 2 October before facing Zimbabwe in Adelaide six days later. The meeting with Wales will conclude their group stage and could prove decisive in determining progression to the knockout rounds.
The two sides last met at a Rugby World Cup in 2015, when Wales famously beat England on home soil during the pool stage.
Wales will also open their tournament in Adelaide, taking on Zimbabwe on 2 October, before travelling to Melbourne to play Tonga on 8 October. Their final group fixture against England comes eight days later in Sydney.
Elsewhere, Scotland have been drawn in Pool D and start their campaign against Uruguay in Melbourne on 3 October. They then face a key encounter with Ireland in Perth on 10 October before finishing the pool stage against Portugal in Brisbane on 17 October.
Ireland’s schedule sees them open against Portugal in Sydney on 4 October, followed by their clash with Scotland, before concluding their group matches against Uruguay in Brisbane.
Tournament hosts Australia, drawn in a pool alongside New Zealand, kick off the competition against Hong Kong in Perth on 1 October. Defending champions South Africa begin their title defence in Adelaide on 3 October against Italy.
The tournament’s semi-finals will take place at Stadium Australia on 5 and 6 November, with the final scheduled at the same venue on 13 November.
